Frequently asked questions for the TeamTablet Flex
What MTR bars are compatible?
TeamTablet Flex is compatible with Microsoft Teams Room certified MTR bars. We have verified compatibility with Logitech and Poly bars.
Which displays are supported?
All compatible displays are listed here.
What screensharing solution are you using?
FlatFrog proprietary screen sharing technology developed specifically for interactive displays. Includes FlatFrog Zero latency technology and support for InGlass touch and writing tools. Supported protocols are Miracast and AirPlay.
Do I need WiFi for screensharing?
Yes, you need a WiFi capable computer, but you do not need a connection to the internet. You can also connect a computer to HDMI/USB and use the meeting window.
I already have touchscreen with a Teams Rooms set-up. Why should I buy TeamTablet Flex?
TeamTablet Flex does not replace your Teams Rooms; it is complementary to it. It will unlock your Teams Rooms set-up by improving your interactive collaboration abilities. It adds an easier-to-use whiteboard and interactive wireless screensharing with MultiSense™ auto-detect technology, which Teams Rooms alone doesn't include. Contact us for a demo!
How does this compare to Neat with Microsoft Teams and whiteboard support?
Neat Board (or Logitech/Yealink) with Teams Room is a locked solution. The touch performance is simple with thick stylus and no pen/finger differentiation. MS Whiteboard does not work seamlessly with screensharing. There is no annotation possibility with power point or other apps and you cannot use third-party apps like Miro or others.
I already use Barco for wireless screen-sharing, why do I need TeamTablet Flex?
TeamTablet Flex is not a wireless presentation system. It is built for interactive collaboration for your creative and innovation spaces. The use cases and user experience is completely different compared to Barco.
Why can’t I use the launcher that is already built into the touchscreen I bought?
A touchscreen powered by Android or Tizen might not work with Teams Room. The native touchscreen launchers are not purposefully designed for collaborative spaces. They are generic (Android EDLA) and built mainly for the Education (K-12 Schools) market. TeamTablet Flex is designed and built for corporate and enterprise workspaces.
Is there an interface for IT administrators?
Yes, TeamTablet Flex allows configuration and administration of the device, find out more here.
Is the Flex home screen configurable?
Yes, home screen can be configured by IT. Keep a consistent appearance across all your rooms and meeting spaces.
Is the whiteboard shareable with meeting participants?
Yes, the whiteboard is always shareable either by using a QR code or sending a link to the board. We also offer Teams integration where the board is automatically shared during the meeting. There is also the option to share the content on the TeamTablet through HDMI out and our "Share in meeting" function.
How often will the device be updated?
We release security patches and updates in a quarterly cadence, ensuring that your device is always protected against the latest threats. Application updates for bugfixes and new features will happen more frequently.
Can I install applications from the Google Play Store or other third-party software?
By design, FlatFrog devices do not come pre-installed with the Google Play Store, Amazon App Store, or Google Play Services. This deliberate exclusion helps to restrict the installation of third-party applications from these platforms, thereby enhancing device security and preventing unauthorized software from being introduced.
